- 10 - Body Mass Index (BMI)                          
BMI is a measurement of height to weight that helps determine if you are at risk for developing health problems due to excess body weight.  This is
only a starting point, but it is important to know your BMI so you can make healthy lifestyle choices.  It is best to talk with your doctor to accurately
access your risks for developing health problems.  Note: BMI may overstate body fat in athletes and individuals who have a muscular build.
To find your BMI: Match your weight (top row) with your height (left column) to find your BMI. Then locate your BMI value on the chart below.

If your BMI is . . .
Under 19   = MAYBE TOO LOW: A BMI under 19 may not be healthy; you may need to talk with your doctor what weight is right for you.
19 - 24   = LOW RISK: You're probably in a healthy range so keep making healthy choices and try to maintain a healthy BMI.
25 - 29   = SOME RISK: You may be at some risk for developing medical problems so take some steps now to better maintain a healthy BMI.
Above 29   = HIGH RISK: You are at high risk for developing serious medical problems - Talk with your doctor about making healthy lifestyle changes.
